On February 28th at 7:30 PM ET, Taylor Fritz and Kyle Edmund will hold the quarterfinal match of the tournament in Acapulco. Who will win? Read our prediction.
Taylor Fritz
Four years ago, Fritz successfully performed at this competition. Then the American reached the quarter finals. For the 18-year-old player, it was a great success. The next year, in 2017, Taylor was unable to protect his points, having flown out in the first round. After that, he ignored this tournament.
The latest US representative results have not been successful. He flew in the second round of the Challenger to Newport Beach, and also lost in the first match in Delray Beach. But in Acapulco, Fritz played a little better and already beat John Millman
Kyle Edmund
With each match, Kyle inspires more and more confidence, although everyone is still waiting for a trick. When will the Briton stumble again? There were thousands of such situations last season, and not a single one in this. Something has changed?
Two weeks ago, Edmund successfully performed in New York. Then Kyle confidently went the entire tournament distance, and in the final defeated Andreas Seppi (7-5, 6-1). It seems that the Briton is starting to regain his playing form, since now he is playing much better than before.
In Acapulco, Edmund easily passed his rivals. First, the representative of Great Britain dealt with Feliciano Lopez (6-4, 6-1), and then did not leave a chance to Felix Auger-Aliassime (6-4, 6-4).
Taylor Fritz vs Kyle Edmund Predictions
Fritz’s game in Mexico looks promising, but Edmund is now too hot and, maybe, it is the British who should be considered the favorite. Perhaps this confrontation will be the most interesting in the quarter finals, since giving preference to one of them is simply unrealistic.
- Prediction: Kyle Edmund Will Win

The athletes met last year in the English Eastbourne at the semifinal stage, in that match with one tie-break Fritz won in two sets. But that was game on grass.
