Create his Premier League debut this weekend and moussa Djenepo is currently in fact to return from harm.
Manager Ralph Hasenhuttl expects that the #15m summer-signing out of Standard Liege will make the effect they will have to beat the Blades and continue their good shape.
After picking up a knock, djenepo scored off the bench in the win in Brighton but missed the draw with Manchester United and the Saints boss says he’s close to returning.
“That is what we anticipated when we signed him in the summer – that he can bring us something unique,” Hasenhuttl explained.
“I think he’s proven in the few minutes he’s played so much; he could be a player which makes a huge difference. It was a shame that he was hurt against Manchester United. I am sure if he comes back this weekend, he will help hugely.
“The chances are not that big but let us have a look. We do not need to decide – that there are still two days to go. It looks better. We will need to look, if it’s enough for him to perform in the weekend.
“I don’t need to take an excessive amount of danger because we’ve got a busy September, and so we have to listen.”
Hasenhuttl has experienced a number of harm problems to compete with early in the summer but verified that Ryan Bertrand could return after missing United games and Brighton – but Nathan Redmond remains out.
“Michael [Obafemi] and Ryan [Bertrand] are working with the team. Both of them are options and the rest are all fit,” the Austrian said.
“Because of these suspended players we truly must start looking for a brand new left-back and he could be one option for me, yes.
“Jake Vokins is also an alternative but Pierre Hojberg may also play with you and Cedric too, together with Yann Valery on the opposing side. I have very flexible players and a good player can play every place.”
“Everybody came back from the international break without any injuries, so that’s good news. The terrible thing is that Nathan [Redmond] is still available for us.”
