Harlequins centre Joe Marchant will start England’s closing warm-up match against Italy on Friday.
Marchant is alongside Piers Francis at the midfield in what’s described as a”mix and match choice plan”.
Ruaridh McConnochie will make his debut on the wing and now joins Anthony Watson and Jonny May in the three.
Billy Vunipola creates his fourth start of the effort at number eight.
“We’ve gone with a mix and match choice policy to come up with our adaptability and the team’s ability to deal with any situation,” explained head coach Eddie Jones.
Friday’s match in Newcastle will be the England Test match to be staged at St James’ Park.
Jones’ side then fly on Sunday ahead of their championship opener against Tonga September.
“We are playing with the iconic soccer ground and we all know the area is a significant one for rugby in the northern portion of England,” Jones added.
“We are excited about seeing and playing before the fans.”
Prior to coming on against Ireland a fortnight 21, marchant made his England debut as a replacement against Wales.
His addition raises questions within the fitness Jonathan Joseph, following the Bath guy pulled from the Ireland match with muscle soreness.
Fellow centre Henry Slade has not played a second of rugby as picking up a knee injury in camp, and is lacking last month.
Meanwhile the inclusion in the back-row for the fourth match of Vunipola appears a bet by Jones.
However trainer Neal Hatley said on Thursday the England administration had no worries about Vunipola’s workload.
“Some of the essential issues with Billy would be to maintain him playing,” Hatley said.
Although Anthony Watson performs full-back for the very first time since March 2018 captain Owen Farrell begins at fly-half for first time in the warm-up schedule.
“We have had a solid training week at Treviso with warm conditions so we’re looking forward to testing ourselves against Italy on Friday night,” Jones added.
“We then jump on the plane and are ready to go to Japan.”
