Japan vs South Africa

South Africa was headed by A hat-trick of tries from Makazole Mapimpi on Friday in their final World Cup warm-up match into a victory over Japan, gaining revenge for defeat and putting down a tournament marker.
Winger Cheslin Kolbe started the scoring with a neat finish until Mapimpi ran in two tries from the other flank since the Springboks constructed a 22-0 lead in Kumagaya.
Further attempts from Mapimpi along with Kolbe both sides of the consolation of Kotaro Matsushima plus a closing flourish in Herschel Jantjies secured success for South Africa and helped soothe the memory of Japans famous win at the 2015 World Cup.
Until South Africa begin their campaign against reigning champions New Zealand a day later japan must look for advancement in their World Cup opener.
