Felix Auger-Aliassime

The past week was also successful for Auger-Aliasime, who became the youngest finalist of the tournament in Rotterdam in its 46-year history.

In the course of the tournament Felix defeated Jan-Lennard Struff (6-3, 1-6, 6-3), defeated Grigor Dimitrov (6-4, 6-2) and dealt with Aljaz Bedene (6-4, 7-6) and Pablo Carreno Busta (7-6, 6-4). In the decisive match Auger-Aliassime was unable to do anything with Frenchman Gael Monfis (2-6, 4-6).

Auger is prone to drops, but there’s nothing strange about it when you look at his such a young age. And besides, the Canadian has only recently moved to ATP tournaments. Now Felix needs to get used to the fact that in such competitions, there are no passing matches and he needs to put on the limit in each of them. The tennis player acts on the court only in an aggressive manner, and in such a manner is not always able to get results at a distance. After all, in one match there are shots and serve, and the next day – no. In the meantime, the Canadian can’t do anything else.

Stefano Travaglia

Last week, Stefano was competing in Bangalore. On a Challenger in India, the Italian tennis player managed to reach the semi-finals.

In the first round of competition, Travaglia defeated his compatriot Filippo Baldi (6-2, 6-1), then defeated Mohamed Safwat (6-2, 7-6) and Blaz Rola (6-4, 4-6, 6-2). In the semi-finals, Stefano lost to Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (3-6, 4-6).

Travaglia is one of those tennis players who start to suddenly progress towards 30. After all, Stefano spent his entire professional career on budget Challengers and Futures, where he alternated between victories and defeats. But in recent seasons, the Italian has suddenly started to improve. Especially Travaglia made a breakthrough on fast covers, where he used to lose to everyone without a chance. What the tennis player really added seriously was his pitching, because he started to shoot about 10-15s (on the fast courts) during the match.
