Columbus Blue Jackets
Columbus lost four games in a row for the first time in a long time, although before that it had pleased its fans with a positive result. The team even managed to significantly improve its tournament position and reached the playoff zone, and now ranks seventh in the East.
John Tortorella’s wards beat Montreal (4:3), Florida overtime (1:0) and Detroit (2:0). But now the Jackets have serious staffing problems. There are nine hockey players in their infirmary.
These difficulties have affected the results of the last four matches. Columbus lost to Colorado (1-2), lost to Tampa Bay (1-2) and Buffalo (3-4) in the extra period, and was weaker than the Rangers in regular time (1-3).
New Jersey Devils
New Jersey is one of the outsiders of the Eastern Conference and is at the 14th position with 52 points. The team is now alternating victories with defeats and lost to Florida (3-5), then defeated Detroit (4-1) and again lost to Carolina 2-5. However, the Andy Greene team on their court is constantly trying to fight back and lost in regular time only ten times in 29 games.
But even at home, the Devils miss about three or four pucks per game, which, of course, is a bad indicator.
The team is one of the best in defense in its conference and has missed only 151 pucks in 56 meetings. At the same time Mike Sullivan’s wards got used to playing very disciplined on their court and won 20 games out of 29.

Jackets vs Devils Prediction
Columbus skillfully plays against the opponent, they no longer know where to go, what to do to throw into someone else’s gate at least two pucks, not to mention more. The guests should frame Elvis Merzlikins, who now has a lot of faith and teach a lesson to the strikers of New Jersey.
We believe the Columbus will be stronger in this confrontation. Firstly, the team won the last nine games against New Jersey and looked more than confident even this season in the fight with it. Secondly, the Devils have a limp defense throughout the season, and Jackets are clearly successful in this component.
Our prediction: New Jersey Devils will win.
