Really has won its past 41 against in-state competitions with the loss coming in 1921. The Buckeyes have won something similar to 32 games. They are 16-point favorites in BetOnline. Ohio State holds a 14-2 advantage in the series.
But, we think Cincinnati can continue to keep this below the amount of 55.5 even though the over is a slight favorite. UC is coached by former Ohio State player/defensive coordinator/interim head trainer Luke Fickell. His defense closed down UCLA last week, 24-14.
I’m not planning to compare UCLA into Ohio State, however, the Bruins have one of their better minds in college football in Coach Chip Kelly. Plus they have a quarterback who is at least a reasonable facsimile of the Justin Fields at Dorian Thompson-Robinson of OSU. He was an awful 8-for-26 for 156 yards with two picks a week (didn’t have two touchdowns).
Last year, Cincinnati headed the Athletic Conference in total defense, scoring defense and rushing defense, finishing No. 9 in the FBS in scoring defense. Ten of the 15 tacklers are back.
The defense played well throughout although last week after a 28-0 lead, Ohio State’s offense got somewhat sloppy in a 45-21 win over Florida Atlantic. Anticipate UC to use plenty of running back Michael Warren II to eat the clock and keep Fields & Co. off the area.

Saturday, 12 PM ET, Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia
South Carolina’s season is in trouble — and weather could play a factor in this game based on which Hurricane Dorian does. Hurricane Dorian’s threat directed Charleston Southern to close down its campus for evacuation. So that the soccer team is staying in Charlotte, N.C., and commuting daily to USC’s campus at Columbia for training, scouting, game-planning, etc..
The Gamecocks have been 24-20 losers in Charlotte in Week 1 to what was a North Carolina group that is bad this past year. Making matters worse, starting quarterback Jake Bentley was dropped to your foot injury. He has started 33 games in his USC career and has been 16-for-30 for 142 yards with two selections and a TD in the loss to UNC. He will be replaced by freshman Ryan Hilinski. He’s a touted recruit from California but has to have a searchable snap.
My guess is Coach Can Muschamp has Hilinski out of there as soon as you can on Saturday because next week the Gamecocks have their biggest home game of their SEC schedule with No. 2 Alabama in town. It managed just 13 points in a loss a week, although I will confess I don’t know much about Charleston Southern.

Saturday, 11:59 PM ET, at Aloha Stadium in Halawa, Hawaii
Per usual when Hawaii is at home, this is the game of the week using a kickoff before midnight on Saturday. Additionally, it has among the highest levels on the board at 78.5. Makes some sense. Hawaii is a fantastic team with a good quarterback in Cole McDonald.
The Rainbow Warriors were away last week, upsetting seeing with Arizona 45-38 in Week 0. You might remember as time expired Wildcats QB Khalil Tate was stopped at the. The Wildcats had at least 10 plays that went for 20 or more yards in weight loss. McDonald threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns. Pretty great, right? Since he was picked off four days yet he was pulled. However, McDonald stays the starter of the team.
Oregon State, meanwhile, remains one of the worst Power 5 summit teams, particularly on defense. Last year, the Beavers ranked 129th of 130 FBS colleges in permitting 45.7 points per game (Hawaii not all that much better at 35.4). Last week, the Beavers were blasted for 52 points at a home loss to Oklahoma State, that had been breaking in a new quarterback in freshman Spencer Sanders. He finished 79.2 percent of the cries and the Pokes obtained 555 yards of offense (7.3 yards per play). Consider what McDonald may do against this defense.
