Chris Gutierrez “El Guapo” form
Chris Gutierrez is 29-year-old American, Massachusetts native, fighter nicknamed “El Guapo”. His professional record is 14-3-1. Chris took part in such minor organizations as the WSOF, the opposition LFA is worth noting Timur Valiyev, the record of their personal fights 1-1, which is a good achievement. Chris made his UFC debut in a short notice in November 2018 against top Brazilian Raoni Barcelos and expectedly lost ahead of schedule in round 2. After he managed to conduct two fights and both times won by the decisions of judges Ryan MacDonald and Geraldo de Freites. Gutierrez is a versatile fighter with not bad skills both in the stance and in the stalls.
For Chris Gutierrez, the word kickboxer is best for his style. He has excellent footwork, he moves well, often changes stances, likes to kick at a distance and counterattack close. At the beginning of his career, he won several victories by technical knockouts, but the higher the level of opposition, the less often Gutierrez gained early victories.
Vince Morales “Vandetta” form
An American, he is 29 years old, a professional record 9-4, trains in the hall “American Free Fight MMA”. Vince tried his hand at the Dana White show, but, unfortunately, lost, being a step away from victory. This fight impressed White and later he signed Morales to the UFC. Vince alternates victories with defeats, but in his last fight against Benito Lopez there was an outright robbery – Morales killed Lopez, but the judges had a different opinion on this. Morales has not a bad shock technique, mainly holds fights in the rack.
Vince Morales was an Oregon wrestling champion. However, despite this achievement, Morales did not make any attempts to transfer to the ground in the UFC. Now he is counting on his good boxing and strength in his hands.

Prediction and best pick
It seems to me that this fight will take place in the stance with a large number of accurate punched punches, the fighters are good in the stance and with a high degree of probability will bring the confrontation to the decision of the judges. In almost every duel both fighters give out more than 50 punches, which they will have to do this time. Our prediction: Chris Gutierrez win by decision.
In my opinion, the fight is not at all as equal as it is presented by bookmakers. It seems to me that Chris Gutierrez has a much better chance of winning. Let’s start with the most important thing – styles. Both fighters are not fighting very actively, but Morales often prefers to go forward, which is in the hands of the counterattack Gutierrez. Absolutely destructive weapons will be the low kicks of Gutierrez. This guy has such powerful and dangerous kicks in his legs that he managed to one day end the fight by technical knockout after this kick. He had already managed to demonstrate their power in the UFC: in the fight with Geraldo de Freitas he inflicted such powerful kicks that de Freitas repeatedly fell after them and did not want to get up for a long time, and by the end of the battle a big hematoma formed on his knee. I focus on this technique because Vince Morales is not at all protected from low kicks. In the last fight, Benito Lopez all three rounds from a distance broke Morales’ legs, and largely thanks to this he took the fight by a referee’s decision. If Morales did not tighten his defense against these attacks, then Gutierrez would gladly do the same as Lopez, and the consequences could be even worse. It is worth noting that Morales in a fight with Lopez was able to knock him down, but I do not think that he will succeed in catching Gutierrez strongly – the footwork and slopes of Gutierrez are much better than that of Lopez. And, if suddenly the state champion in wrestling in the person of Morales for the first time in his career at the UFC wants to carry out a takedown and successfully conduct it, it is extremely unlikely that he will achieve victory on earth. Gutierrez knows what to do on canvas to get up or even perform a submission. He is actively working from below and is unlikely to let Morales do the damage. I would like to say about the opposition of the fighters. Prior to the UFC, Gutierrez was part of such prominent North American promotions as WSOF, LFA, XFL and Bellator. Morales before the UFC was marked by two fights in Bellator, and more famous promotions in his track record are not observed. Based on the foregoing, it can be assumed that from the very beginning of the battle, Gutierrez will treat Morales’ legs with his low-kicks and use the footwork and counter-puncher skills to respond to opponent’s attacks. By the end of the fight, Gutierrez will deprive Morales of movement, dance it and kill him. The experience that he gained while fighting in serious promotions will also help him in this. So my pick is the victory of Chris Gutierrez.
